Western Division top-seeded Gannon got a pair of goals from Jessie Watkins and jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on its way to a 3-0 victory over the fourth-seeded Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team in Tuesday's PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals in Erie. The Mountain Cats, who made it first appearance in the PSAC Tournament since joining the conference in 2013, had its season come to an end at 8-7-2.
Gannon, also ranked fifth nationally, got off to a fast start and outshot Pitt-Johnstown, 14-3, in the opening 45 minutes, to build the 2-0 advantage.
Brooklyn Respecki set up Watkins' first goal of the day eight minutes in to give the Golden Knights the early lead, before Respecki finished an assist from Grace Emanuel 13 minutes later to make it 2-0.
The Golden Knights quickly increased it to 3-0 when Watkins scored off of another assist from Respecki just :29 into the second half.

Emma Morin faced 28 shots and made five saves, while Gannon goalkeeper Morgan Sinan saw five shots and made three saves to record the shutout and help the Golden Knights improve to 14-0-4,
With the win, Gannon improves to 14-0-4 on the year and advances to take on East No. 3 Kutztown in Friday's PSAC Semifinals.
