Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora and the Mountain Cat softball team will make their 2024 home debuts on Tuesday when the Seton Hill Griffins visit the newly-renovated Pitt-Johnstown Softball Field for a pair of PSAC West games starting at 2 p.m.

The Mountain Cats come in at 3-11 overall and 0-2 in the conference after opening PSAC West-play with 7-0 and 5-3 losses at California (PA) on Sunday.  Tori Radvan went 5-for-7 in the doubleheader and collected her 100th career hit, while Kayla Miehl added a two-run homer for Pitt-Johnstown.

Seton Hill, 13-7 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC West under second-year Coach Cassie Moore, split a pair of games with Mercyhurst on Sunday.  Brooke Cleland had two hits and three RBI to lead the Griffins to a 10-0 win in game one.  The Lakers came back with a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

In 2023, the Griffins swept the four-game season series over Pitt-Johnstown.  On March 28 in Greensburg, Seton Hill earned 9-1 and 13-5 wins, before completing the sweep with 9-4 and 12-6 victories in Johnstown on April 20.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Gannon for a pair of conference games on Thursday, before celebrating Senior Weekend with PSAC doubleheaders against Mercyhurst on Friday and Slippery Rock on Saturday at the Pitt-Johnstown Softball Field.
