Pitt-Johnstown's
Peyton Alazaus and senior forward
Cassidy Crawford were both selected 2023-24 Second-Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Women's Basketball when the conference announced this year's postseason awards on Friday.
Alazaus, a senior guard from Alliance Ohio, earned a spot on the All-PSAC West Second Team for the second consecutive season. Alazaus led Pitt-Johnstown in 3-point field goals with 53, and she was second on the team in scoring (13.1 ppg.), rebounding (3.7 rpg.) and free-throw percentage (84.9%, 62-73). Alazaus ranks third in the PSAC and 43
rd nationally in free-throw percentage, third in the PSAC in both 3-point field goal percentage (34.2%) and 3-point field goals per game (2.21), and fifth in the conference in total 3-pointers. She finished her Mountain Cat career ranked 32
nd on the all-time scoring list with 1,062 points second on the all-time 3-point field goals list with 196, three shy of the Pitt-Johnstown record.
Crawford, a senior guard from Willard, OH, led the Mountain Cats in scoring (15.2 ppg.), rebounding (7.2 rpg.), and blocked shots (26), and was second on the team in assists (77). In the PSAC, Crawford ranks in the top-12 in 14 statistical categories, including fourth in minutes-played per game (34.63), seventh in free-throws made (100), and ninth in free-throw percentage (78.9%).
