Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora and the Mountain Cat softball team will close out the 2024 season and celebrate Senior Weekend with a pair of PSAC Western Division doubleheaders against Clarion on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. and Sunday against Gannon at 2 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Softball Field.

Prior to Sunday's games against the Golden Knights, the Pitt-Johnstown softball program will recognize
Ailah Charles, Shaylin Hagerman, Kayla Miehl, Tori Radvan, and
Julie Shinavski.

Prior to scheduled doubleheaders at Clarion on Thursday and at Indiana (PA) on Friday, Pitt-Johnstown was 7-29 overall and 4-20 in the PSAC West. The Mountain Cats split a conference doubleheader with Slippery Rock last Sunday.Â
Julia Mooney had two hits, including her 100
th career hit, and two RBI, while
Brynnae Coe had two hits and drove in two to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 7-3 win in the opener. The Rock won the nightcap, 18-10.

Head Coach Marissa Pullo's Clarion Golden Eagles were 12-30 overall and 7-19 in conference-play prior to Thursday's games against the Mountain Cats and Friday's games against Mercyhurst. Clarion split a pair of games against Indiana (PA) on Tuesday, before suffering an 8-7 loss on Wednesday to Slippery Rock in the completion of a game from April 17.

Gannon, under fifth-year
Head Coach Michelle Wiley, was 24-11 overall and 19-6 in the PSAC West prior to scheduled doubleheaders at Edinboro on Thursday and at Mercyhurst on Saturday. On Tuesday, the Golden Knights earned a 5-3 home win over Slippery Rock, before game two of the doubleheader was suspended with The Rock leading, 3-2, in the third inning.
