Audra Fedor placed 19
th in her first collegiate race to pace the Pitt-Johnstown women's cross country team to a 10
th-place finish at Saturday's season-opening Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational 5K at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon.
Jenn Cronin, running unattached, claimed women's individual medalist honors, while Scranton earned the team championship with 64 points, 20 points better than second-place Moravian. The Mountain Cats finished 10
th with 248 team points.
Fedor's time of 19:40.9 gave her a 19
th-place finish in a field of nearly 200 runners, and
Sydney Dunn placed 27
th at 20:01.1 for Pitt-Johnstown.
Ava Barker finished 56
th at 21:05.6, while
Kara McKenzie placed 135
th (23:57.7), and
Marissa DeNezza finished 142
nd to round out the top-five Mountain Cat runners.
Following Scranton and Moravian in the field that featured 15 full teams and several partial teams and individuals, Lebanon Valley finished third (95 points), Widener was fourth (146 points), and Ursinus closed out the Top-five with 160 points.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Bethany (WV) College Invitational next Saturday and to the Lock Haven University Invitational on Sept. 28.
