Tyler Reinhart and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats earned the No. 3 ranking when the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released its 2025-26 NCAA NCAA Division II Preseason National Poll on Thursday. Six Mountain Cats are individually-ranked, including red-shirt senior All-Americans
Trevon Gray (125 lbs.) and
Isaiah Vance (285 lbs.), who are both ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes.
Defending National Champion Nebraska-Kearney returns eight nationally-ranked wrestlers and is the top-ranked team with 73 points. Lander (SC) comes in ranked second with 68.5 points and Pitt-Johnstown with 54.0 points. Tiffin (OH) (49.0 points) is fourth, while Grand Valley State (MI) and Wisconsin-Parkside are tied for fifth with 40.0 points.
Gary, coming off of a fourth-place finish at last season's NCAA National tournament in Indianapolis, and Vance, the national runner-up at 285 lbs. are both ranked No. 1 in their weight classes.

Noah Gnibus (184) is ranked sixth, two-time National Junior College Champion
Matt Sarbo (149 lbs.) is ninth, and
Tyson Cook (133 lbs.) and 2024 NCAA National Qualifier
Cooper Warshel (157lbs.) are both ranked 15th entering the season.
