Mountain Cats Blanked by Lock Haven

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — The PJcouldn't create enough scoring chances to keep pace with Lock Haven in a 3-0 setback on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mountain Cats slipped to 7-6-1 (2-5-1 PSAC). Lock Haven moved to 8-4-4 (4-1-3 PSAC).

The Bald Eagles recorded two goals in the first 14 minutes and held a 2-0 lead at halftime. Billy Lawrence scored in the eighth minute and Carter Rosno added another a little more than six minutes later.

Those goals came in spite of Pitt-Johnstown holding a 6-5 lead in shots through the first 45 minutes. Pau Cano led the way with four shots, while Jaeger James provided three shots, including the lone shot on goal that came in the 54th minute. Sebastian Roman Rivera spent all 90 minutes between the posts and totaled four saves.

Lawrence scored his second goal early on in the 68th minute to set the final.

The Mountain Cats will host Seton Hill at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
