The Mountain Cats outhit the Scots 37-32 and racked up a .255 hitting percentage to improve to 14-8 (5-5 PSAC). The Scots, meanwhile, fell to 9-12 (4-6 PSAC).

Pitt-Johnstown led by four on three separate occasions early on in the opening set. After the Mountain Cats eventually pushed their advantage to 18-13, they ended the set on a 7-3 run spearheaded by two kills from Zuro.

The second set was never competitive after the Mountain Cats staked themselves a 4-3 lead. Krug helped flip the momentum for good with four service aces during a 7-0 flurry that extended the lead to 11-3. Two Edinboro misplays gave Pitt-Johnstown its largest edge at 22-12.

The Scots scored seven of the next nine points to close within five, but Knight detonated on a ball to end the set and afford the Mountain Cats a 2-0 lead.

Zuro, Knight, Lippincott and Susko all notched kills during a 5-1 stretch to open the final set. The Mountain Cats never trailed despite the Scots clawing back to within one point on five different occasions. It was 20-18 before Pitt-Johnstown scored five of the final seven points to seal the match. Zuro secured an ace and a kill and Knight provided two kills, including the game-winner, during the final rally.

With just four regular-season matches remaining, Pitt-Johnstown will visit Slippery Rock at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.
