Head Coach Bob Rukavina and the Pitt-Johnstown men's basketball team will make their 2025-26 home debuts when they host the first round of the Indiana (PA) Classic, Saturday afternoon in the sports Center.  At 3:30 p.m., IUP will play Ashland (OH), before the Mountain Cats take on D'Youville (NY) at 5:30 p.m.

Due to a scheduling conflict at IUP's Kovalchick Athletic Complex, Pitt-Johnstown will host the opening round of the tournament on Saturday, before the teams complete the tournament in Indiana on Sunday.  The Mountain Pats will play Ashland on Sunday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Crimson Hawks'-D'Youville game at 5:30 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown enters the weekend at 1-1 after splitting a pair of games at last weekend's IUP Hilton Garden Inn Tip-off Classic.  Last Friday, Jay Rose scored 17 points and freshman point guard Cedric Rault debuted with 16 points and nine assists, in a narrow, 75-73 setback to Lincoln.  The Mountain Cats bounced back to defeat Concord (WV), 79-75, behind Rose's game-high 22 points and Baden Forup's 16 points and nine rebounds.

The Crimson Hawks are 2-0 after defeating Concord, 93-74, on Friday and Lincoln, 82-57, on Saturday.

D'youville is 0-2 after dropping a pair of games to Goldey-Beacom (DE) and Wilmington (DE) at last weekend's ECC/CACC Tip-off Challenge, while Ashland is 1-1 after falling to Grand Valley State (MI) on Friday and knocking off Wayne State (MI), 76-64, on Sunday.

Following this weekend's games, the Mountain Cats will welcome Windber Area Elementary School to the Sports Center for Education Day and a non-conference game against Point Park on Tuesday at noon.
