th minute tied it at one, but Slippery Rock scored with under 20 minutes to go to deal the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team a 2-1 PSAC Western Division loss in Thursday's Mountain Cat season finale in Slippery Rock. Pitt-Johnstown ended the 2025 season at 7-8-1 overall and 2-7-1 in league-play.
In an evenly-played opening half, Slippery took advantage of an own goal off of a corner kick 12 minutes into the match to take a 1-0 lead.
It stayed that way until early in the second half when Kyei Boahen notched his seventh goal of the season to knot it at one on a ball that was misplayed by Slippery Rock goalkeeper Alvey Kaufman.
However, Patrick Tierney beat Mountain Cat goalkeeper
Jacob Tichnell to the top left post with just over 17 minutes to play to give lead back to The Rock for good.
Tichnell saw 21 shots from Slippery, made eight saves, but allowed both goals to end his senior season at 6-4-0.
The Rock, now 7-7-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the PSAC West, got five saves from Kaufman, who faced nine shots from the Mountain Cats.
