The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will host a PSAC Crossover doubleheader against Bloomsburg, Tuesday afternoon in the Sports Center. The women's game will tip off at 3 p.m., with the men's game against the Huskies to follow at 5 p.m.
Head Coach Bob Rukavina and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats enter the game at 6-3 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC.
Baden Forup matched his career-high with 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to guide the Mountain Cats to a 113-84 non-conference victory over West Virginia Wesleyan, last Monday in the Sports Center.
Vinnie Cugini had 19 points and seven boards, and
Jay Rose chipped-in 17 points and eight rebounds as five Mountain Cat scored in double figures against the Bobcats. Pitt-Johnstown also tipped-off PSAC Crossover action with an 81-72 setback at West Chester on Dec. 6.
Adam Bilinsky and Rose each recorded 16 points.
Fourth-year
Head Coach Chris Bess' Bloomsburg Huskies are 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference-play after a 72-52 home loss to California (PA) on Dec. 6.
Courtney Davis II and
Ries Naugle scored 10 points apiece, and
George Sabatini added nine points and seven rebounds. Prior to that, the Huskies defeated Penn State Scranton, 86-45, on Nov. 25 and Penn State Hazleton, 78-54, on Nov. 30.
Since first meeting in 1988-89, Pitt-Johnstown holds a 24-14 advantage in the series. The Mountain Cats have won seven of the last eight meetings, including a 91-60 victory in the Sports Center on Dec. 18, 2023.
Andy Zuchelli's game-high 20 points and
Cugini's 17 points led five Pitt-Johnstown double-figure scorers.
Jake Nelson had 13 points and a game-best nine boards for the Huskies.

nd season) Pitt-Johnstown team comes in at 3-5 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC after Saturday's convincing, 85-68, non-conference win over Shippensburg in the Sports Center.
Lexi Margolis and
Aubree Price each scored 13 points, while
Camille Dominick and
Sophia Ott finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively for Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain also began PSAC Crossover-play with a 72-66 loss at West Chester on Dec. 6, despite
Ott's career-best 23 points and team-high eight rebounds.
Bloomsburg, under 11
th-year
Head Coach Alison Tagliaferri, is 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC following a, 70-59, home loss to California (PA) on Dec. 6.
Ava Stevenson had a game-high 20 points and five rebounds, and
Lex Ferguson had nine points and six boards for the Huskies. Bloomsburg also dealt Lincoln a 71-41 loss behind
Maddie LaFrance's 15 points on Nov. 25.
Since the 2004-05 season, the Mountain Cats hold an 8-4 advantage in the series and have won the last three meetings. The teams last met in Johnstown on Dec. 18, 2023, and Pitt-Johnstown came away with a 77-56 victory behind
Cassidy Crawford's game-high 18 points and seven rebounds and
Kylah Franklin's 15 points and five boards. The Huskies got 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds from
Katelin Starr and 13 points from
Leah Kale.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC crossover games at East Stroudsburg on Saturday and Kutztown on Sunday. After the holiday break, the Mountain Cats will host conference crossover doubleheaders in the Sports Center against Millersville on Jan. 2 and Shepherd on Jan. 3.
