


The Pitt-Johnstown men and women both posted impressive showing at Saturday and Sunday's PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse, paced by
Aiden Lechleitner's fifth-place finish in the Mile Run,
Mayah Charity's fifth-place finish in the 60-Meter Dash, and a fifth-place finish from
Ellie Zuro in the Pentathlon.
Shippensburg won the team title on the men's side with 167 points, ahead of second-place East Stroudsburg (121.6 points) and third-place Slippery Rock (118 points), while The Rock claimed the championship on the women's side with 153 points, in front of Shippensburg (90.5 points) and East Stroudsburg (82.75 points).
The Pitt-Johnstown men placed 11
th out of 12 teams with 4.0 points and the women were 13
th out of 14 teams with 8.0 points.
Lechleitner led the Pitt-Johnstown men in the track events with a fifth-place showing in the Mile Run at 4:22.62.
The Mountain Cat Distance Medley Relay Team of Lechleitner,
Noah Lee,
Damian Blum, and
Ethan Barrick finished ninth at 10:54.35, and the 4x400-Meter Relay Team of
Marcello Legister, Blum,
Michael Ifidon, and Lee finished 10
th at 3:30.29.
Jacobs also qualified eighth in the 60-Meter Hurdles, but did not run in the finals.
In the field events,
Ryan Porch and
Hunter Johnson finished ninth and 17
th, respectively in the Long Jump at 6.83 meters and 6.05 meters, while
Noah Serr tied for 13
th in the High Jump at 1.89 meters.
On the women's side, Charity's time of 7.79 in the 60-Meter Dash gave her a fifth-place finish, and Zuro placed fifth in the Pentathlon with 3,079 points. Zuro accumulated her points by placing eighth in the 60-Meter Hurdles (9.65), third in the High Jump (1.54 meters), eighth in the Shot Put (9.59 meters), 12
th in the Long Jump (4.54 meters), and second in the 800-Meter Run (2:29.98).
In the 800-Meter Run,
Ava Barker finished 15
th with a time of 2:27.44, and the Distance Medley Relay Team of Barker,
Ava Menzies,
Sydney Dunn, and
Audra Fedor came away with a 12
th-place showing at 13:31.50.
Natalie Lippincott finished in a five-way tie for ninth in the High Jump at 1.57 meters.
Pitt-Johnstown will begin the outdoor portion of its track and field season at the West Virginia University Stan Romanowski Open in Morgantown, W.Va. on March 21-22.
