Lippincott, Mountain Cats Take 6th at John Papa Invitational

Slippery Rock, Pa.

The Pitt-Johnstown women's track and field team earned a 6th place finish at Slippery Rock's John Papa Invitational on Thursday.

The Mountain Cats racked up 48 points, 14 of those coming in the sprints to help them finish above PSAC schools Clarion, IUP and Edinboro in the 13-team field.

Natalie Lippincott notched a team-high 10 points by taking 1st via a tiebreaker in the high jump after leaping 1.60 meters.

Mayah Charity once again stole the show by capturing 2nd place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.07 seconds, locking up eight points in the process. She followed that up with a 3rd place mark in the 200-meter dash after finishing in 25.22 seconds to pick up another six points.

Ellie Zuro secured a 5th place finish and four points in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.35 seconds. She also recorded 1.55 meters in the high jump to place 6th and collect three points.

Pitt-Johnstown will be idle for more than a week before participating in the Saint Francis University Red Flash Open on April 26.
