Ellie Zuro Breaks Mountain Cat 400-Meter Hurdles Record at Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet

Zuro, EllieEllie Zuro broke the Pitt-Johnstown record in the 400-Meter Hurdles on her way to placing in three events to help the Pitt-Johnstown women's track and field team to a fourth-place finish at Friday's Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet.
 
The Rock claimed the team championship with 281.0 points, while the Mountain Cats were fourth with 70.50 points in the seven-team field.
 
Zuro finished second in the 400-Meter Hurdles at 1:02.18 on her way to eclipsing the Mountain Cat school record.  She was also third in the 100-Meter Hurdles at 14.88, and Rihanna Hillegas finished seventh in the 100-Meter Hurdles at 16.68.
 
Mayah Charity claimed the top spot in the 200-Meter Dash (24.91) and was the runner-up in the 100-Meter Dash (12.04)
 
Pitt-Johnstown also got a pair of first-place showings from Audra Fedor.  Fedor won the 3,000-Meter Steeple Chase at 11:50.00 and the 5,000-Meter Run at 14:46.19, and teammate Sydney Dunn placed second in the 5,000-Meter Charity, MayahFedor, AudraRun at 15:16.63.
 
The Mountain Cats also got runner-up and sixth-place finishes respectively from Ava Barker (2:25.73) and Ella Miller (2:28.73) in the 800-Meter Run.
 
In the field events, Zuro was fourth in the High Jump (1.50 Meters), Kaela Grant was sixth in the Javelin (19.91 Meters), and Carley Weimer placed ninth in the Triple Jump (8.90 Meters).
 
Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2025 season at the PSAC Outdoor Championships in Slippery Rock this Thursday through Saturday.
