The Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team was edged in straight sets, 23-25, 20-25, 26-28, by Ohio Dominican University during the Frostburg State University Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Mountain Cats (5-2) received a team-high eight kills from Ellie Cirino Zuro, seven from Caroline Knight and another six from Brooke Pelloni. Mallory Pinske had a team-high five blocks. Abby Berry provided a match-high 27 assists, while Avery Koontz collected a match-high 22 digs.
Pitt-Johnstown had 35 total kills, compared to 19 errors. Ohio Dominican, meanwhile, racked up 44 kills and 23 errors.
Pitt-Johnstown will compete in the IUP Tournament next weekend, beginning with a match against Charleston on Friday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.
