Head Coach Justin Haupt
and the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team will finish the 2026 regular season and celebrate Senior Weekend with a pair of PAC Western Matches this weekend in the Sports Center.  On Friday, Gannon visits the Sports Center for a 6 p.m. match, before the Mountain Cats recognize five seniors prior to Saturday's noon match against Edinboro.

On Saturday, the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball program will recognize seniors Caroline Knight, Brooke Pelloni, Dannika Susko, Journey Welling, and Ellie Zuro Cirino.

The Mountain Cats, 11-10 overall and 5-7 in the PSAC West, look to bounce back from two narrow conference losses last week. Last Friday, after splitting a pair of matches last weekend.  Last Friday, Zuro Cirino had 15 kills but PSAC West-leading Indiana (PA) earned a 3-1 victory in a match that featured three of the four sets going into extra points.  Zuro Cirino then added 20 kills, and Knight had kills in Saturday's five set loss to Seton Hill in the Sports Center.

Head Coach Matt Darling, in his 20th season, and the Gannon Golden Knights raised their winning streak five straight matches and improved to 20-4 overall and 10-2 in the PSAC West with a 3-2 victory over Clarion and a 3-0 sweep over Slippery Rock last weekend.  Abby Williams and Sydney Wake combined for 29 kills in the win over the golden Eagles, before Carissa Treser collected 10 kills in the sweep over the Rock.

Edinboro, under 21st-year Head Coach Missy Soboleski, was 11-13 overall and 4-8 in conference-play prior to Friday's road match at IUP.  The Fighting Scots got 15 kills D'Aira Whitner in a 3-1 loss to Slippery Rock last Friday, before rebounding to defeat Clarion, 3-1 on Saturday behind 21 kills from Whitner and 18 kills from Reilly Parent.

Earlier this season, Zuro Cirino had 16 kills, and Kiara Harmon added 12 kills in a four-set Mountain Cat loss at Gannon on Oct. 9.  The following day, Pitt-Johnstown suffered a 3-0 loss at Edinboro.  Knight's 14 kills led the way for the Mountain Cats.

Depending on this weekend's results, Pitt-Johnstown will see if it earns a spot in next week's PSAC Championships.  If Pitt-Johnstown finishes fourth in the division, the Mountain Cats will host a first round conference tournament game, Monday evening in the Sports Center.  If the Mountain Cats claim the fifth spot, the will travel to the No. 4 seed on Monday.
