The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will begin a three-game home stand with a PSAC doubleheader against Indian (PA), Wednesday evening in the Sports Center. The women will tip off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's games against the Griffins scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Head Coach D'wan Shackleford-Vickroy's Pitt-Johnstown women's squad is 7-14 overall and 4-10 in the PSAC after Saturday's 76-72 overtime victory at Slippery Rock. The Mountain Cats, who swept the season series against The Rock, was led by
Lexi Margolis' career-high 23 points, and
Angel Ezirim's career-best 21 points. Pitt-Johnstown also got a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds from
Liv West.
Indiana (PA), ranked sixth in the WBAC National Poll under third-year
Head Coach Craig Carey, made it three straight wins and improved to 19-1 overall and 13-1 in the PSAC following a 71-65 win at Edinboro on Saturday.
Teresa Maggio and
Marin Miller had 16 and 15 points, respectively, and
Nyshae' Weaver added 13 points and eight rebounds in the victory over the Fighting Scots.
The Mountain Cats and Crimson Hawks met in Indiana on Jan. 7 and Top-10-ranked IUP was able to hold off Pitt-Johnstown, 68-60.
Margolis and
Camille Dominick had 14 and 11 points, respectively to lead the Mountain Cats.
Weaver's game-highs of 21 points and 10 rebounds paced three Crimson Hawks who scored in double figures.
Pitt-Johnstown men, under
Head Coach Bob Rukavina, slipped to 11-11 overall and 5-9 in the PSAC following Saturday's 85-67 setback at Slippery Rock.
Baden Forup had 23 points and 10 rebounds to record his ninth straight and 15
th double-double of the season, while
Adam Bilinsky had 17 points and
Vinnie Cugini added 10 points for the Mountain Cats.
Forup currently has 1,169 career college points, including 788 in less than two seasons at Pitt-Johnstown. He leads the PSAC and ranks third nationally in double-doubles, total rebounds, and rebounds per game. Forup is also fourth in the PSAC and 47
th in NCAA Division II in scoring at 19.2 points per game.

th-year) Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks won their third straight game and improved to 16-4 overall and 11-3 in the PSAC after a 73-63 win at Edinboro on Saturday.
Dallis Dillard's game-highs of 30 points and 12 rebounds, and
Christian Moore's 16 points led three Crimson Hawks who scored in double figures. IUP also defeated Penn State-Dubois, 100-47, behind Dillard's 30 points and 10 boards on Wednesday.
On Jan. 7, Pitt-Johnstown made the trip to Indiana to tip-off PSAC West-play, and the Crimson Hawks were able to hold off the Mountain Cats, 80-70.
Forup's 16 points and game-high 16 rebounds, and
Will Kromka's 16 points and five boards led Pitt-Johnstown. IUP got a game-high 31 points from
Dillard, 18 points from
Moore, and 11 points and eight rebounds from
Baustista Rodriguez.
The Mountain Cats continue a stretch of three consecutive PSAC West home doubleheaders against Edinboro, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center and California (PA) next Wednesday evening.
