The Pitt-Johnstown softball team will host a pair of conference games against PSAC West-leading Slippery Rock, Friday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown softball Field. Game times are scheduled for 2 and 4 p.m.
Pitt-Johnstown, under
Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora, is 12-17 overall and 6-10 in the PSAC after splitting four conference games last weekend. Last Friday, the Mountain Cats swept Seton Hill, 8-3 and 12-4, then suffered 2-1 and 11-8 setbacks to California (PA) last Saturday.

Head Coach Mandy Sansbury, extended it winning streak to seven straight games and was 15-13 overall and 8-2 in the PSAC West prior Thursday's scheduled conference games at Edinboro. The Griffins also earned a 4-1 and 8-4 conference sweep at Gannon on April 2.
Head Coach Stacey Rice's Slippery Rock squad, winners of 10 straight games, comes in 20-10 overall and sits atop the PSAC West standings at 14-2. The Rock is coming off of 7-2 and 4-1 wins over Gannon last Saturday and 11-2 and 9-6 victories over Edinboro last Sunday.
On April 3, Pitt-Johnstown made the trip to Slippery Rock, and the Rock was able to come away with 6-3 and 5-0 conference wins.
The Mountain Cats will begin a stretch of three consecutive road doubleheaders beginning at Clarion on Saturday, before hosting its 2026 home finale against Indiana (PA) on May 1.
