Pitt-Johnstown junior outfielder
Meghan McDonough etched her name into the Pitt-Johnstown softball record books when she broke the Mountain Cats' career record for triples on April 18, a record that has been in place since 2022.
McDonough, who entered the 2026 season with four career triples, broke the record of seven held by Olivia Porter since 2022 in game one of a PSAC doubleheader at Clarion on April 18.
McDonough enters Friday conference games against Indiana (PA) with nine career triples, while her five triples so far this season have matched Porter's single-season mark from 2021.
Along with leading the Mountain Cats in triples, the Wexford, Pa. native and North Allegheny High School graduate, also paces the team in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.330.), hits (36), runs (30), total bases (60), slugging percentage, and stolen bases (9). McDDonough is also ranked second on the team in walks (14), tied for second in doubles (5), and third in RBI (15).
