The Pitt-Johnstown women's cross country team toed the line against a 22-team field Saturday at the Lock Haven Invitational, with junior Audra Fedor turning in the program's headline performance of the day. Fedor paced the Mountain Cats with a 12th-place finish in 22:13.9.

Northwood claimed the team title with 120 points, narrowly ahead of runner-up Slippery Rock (123). Bloomsburg was third with 146 points, followed by Grove City (150), Messiah (159), I Pitt-Johnstown finished 18th among the 22 scoring squads with 500 points

Fedor's strong showing set the tone for the Mountain Cats, who got their next four scorers from Sydney Dunn (114th, 24:42.2), Ella Miller (137th, 25:35.3), Ava Menzies (175th, 29:05.5) and Rihanna Hillegass (182nd, 37:24.9). Aubree Lorenzo also gained valuable racing experience for Pitt-Johnstown, crossing the line 183rd in 37:25.2 as the team's sixth finisher.

Claire Anderson (Pro Bike + Run Elite) won individually in 21:08.4, ahead of Bloomsburg's Olivia Magagna and Misericordia's Madison Hedglin. Since Anderson runs unattached, she wasn't part of the collegiate team scoring, which is why she doesn't affect the Northwood/Slippery Rock team race described in the next paragraph.

Pitt-Johnstown will be back in action next Saturday at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational and on Oct. 17 at the Bloomsburg Invitational.
