2012-13 Season
Andrew Cressler made an immediate impact for the Mountain Cats after transferring from Seton Hill University prior to his junior season. Cressler started all 28 games on his way to finishing as the team’s second leading rebounder (6.1 rpg.) and fourth leading scorer (10.8 ppg.). He also finished third on the team in both in steals (26) and 3-point field goals (25). Cressler wrapped-up his first season at Pitt-Johnstown shooting 50.0% (123-246) from the field, 48.1% (25-52) from behind the 3-point line, and 69.6% (32-46) from the free-throw line. He led the Mountain Cats in scoring twice and rebounding eight times. Cressler scored in double figures 16 times and grabbed seven or more rebounds nine times. He also collected three double-doubles.
In one season, Cressler recorded highs of 28 points vs. Shepherd (WV) University on Jan. 3, 2013 and 15 rebounds against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Dec. 15, 2012. He also had three assists at Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Dec. 1, 2012 and three assists against Wheeling Jesuit on Dec. 15, 2012.
At Plum High School
Cressler, a three-year letterman and all-conference performer for Head Coach Ron Richards at Plum High School, finished his career as the school’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,234 points.
At Seton Hill University
Prior to joining the Mountain Cats for the 2012-13 season, Cressler earned two letters as a member of the Seton Hill University basketball team. In 2010-11, Cressler averaged 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He shot 52% from the field and 81% from the free-throw line. Cressler followed that up by joining the starting line-up as a sophomore in 2011-12 where he averaged 11.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
