Biography

At University High School
Amber Smith, who began her high school career at Trinity Christian School, transferred to University High School following her freshman season. After scoring 257 points and grabbing 112 rebounds as a freshman, Smith added 860 more points and 323 more rebounds at University High School to finish her career with 1,117 points and 435 rebounds.
Smith earned Second-Team West Virginia All-State honors as a senior and third-team all-state honors following her freshman and junior seasons. She was a three-time All-Ohio Valley Conference choice and was named to the Dominion Post All-Area Team three times. Smith, a four-year letter-winner, was also named to the West Virginia State Tournament All-Tournament Team in 2009.
She was coached by Kamila Meikel at University High School.
