As a Lady Cat
Nicole Carman finished her junior season in 2013-14 as the Lady Cats’ second leading scorer (12.3 ppg.) and second leading rebounder (6.6 rpg.). She was also tied for second on the team with 44 three-point field goals. She enters her senior season ranked 27
th on the Lady Cat All-Time rebounding list with 488. Carman has 905 career points, 95 shy of becoming Pitt-Johnstown’s 34
th 1000
th-point scorer. She scored in double figures 19 times and grabbed six or more rebounds in a game 13 times. Ten times in 2013-14 she paced the team in scoring, and twelve times she led the team in rebounding.
Carman came back as a sophomore in 2012-13 and was Pitt-Johnstown’s second-leading scorer (11.1 ppg.) and third-leading rebounder (5.7 rpg.). Her 31 three-point field goals and 33 steals also ranked third on the team. Carman led the Lady Cats in scoring seven times and rebounding six times. She also scored in double-figures in 12 of the 22 games she played and recorded four double-doubles.
Carman joined the starting line-up as a true freshman in 2011-12 and was the team’s leading rebounder (6.0 rpg.) and second leading scorer (10.6 ppg.). In 27 games-played (24 starts), she shot 38.2% (99-259) from the field, 35.8% (38-106) from behind the three-point line, and 81.7% (49-60) from the free-throw line. Her 38 three-pointers ranked third on the team. Carman led the Lady Cats in scoring four times and rebounding 10 times. She also recorded three double-doubles.
Carman posted a career-high of 30 points at Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Feb. 16, 2013. She also had 12 rebounds in a game on four separate occasions.
Nicole is the daughter of Hubert and Debora Carman.
At Twinsburg High School
Nicole Carman, a four-year letterman in both basketball and tennis at Twinsburg High School, averaged 9.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on her way to guiding her team to the 2011 Ohio State Championship with a perfect 27-0 record. In her four high school seasons, Carman’s team posted a 94-8 overall record and appeared in three district finals, three regional tournaments, and a state championship game. Carman was a two-time Northeast Ohio All-Conference selection who was named a Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association All-Star and a Tri-County All-Star following her senior season. She also represented the United States in the 2011 Continental Cup Games.
On the tennis court, Carman, Twinsburg High School’s Most Valuable Player in 2011, was tabbed Northeast Ohio All-Conference three times on her way to guiding her team to three conference titles. She also earned a letter in track and field in the shot put and javelin.
