Biography

As a Lady Cat

2014-2015

 
    Kayla DeCriscio played in all 26 games in 2014-15 and averaged 7.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.  Her 44.7% (51-114) shooting from 3-point range and 86.4% (19-22) shooting from the free-throw line both led the Lady Cats, while her 51 3-pointers ranked second on the team.  DeCriscio scored in double figures eight times.  She also led the team in scoring three times.
        DeCriscio finished her sophomore season averaging 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Her 58 three-point field goals, 40.0% (58-145) shooting from three-point range, and 87.8% free-throw percentage (43-49) all led the Lady Cats in 2013-14. Her 40.0% three-point shooting also ranked her 37th in NCAA Division II. Twice she led the team in scoring on two occasions.
In 20 games off the bench as a freshman in 2012-13, DeCriscio averaged 3.9 points and nearly one rebound per game.  Her 16 three-point field goals ranked fourth on the team.  DeCriscio also dished out 16 assists, made nine steals and blocked two shots.
    DeCriscio has recorded single-game highs of 26 points against Washington Adventist (MD) on Nov. 14, 2013, and 10 rebounds and five assists against Edinboro  on Nov. 23, 2013.
Kayla is the daughter of Jeff and Diane DeCriscio.

        Kayla DeCriscio finished her sophomore season averaging 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Her 58 three-point field goals, 40.0% (58-145) shooting from three-point range, and 87.8% free-throw percentage (43-49) all led the Lady Cats in 2013-14. Her 40.0% three-point shooting also ranked her 37th in NCAA Division II. Twice she led the team in scoring on two occasions.

        Kayla is the daughter of Jeff and Diane DeCriscio. 
 

 
At Altoona Area High School
 
                Kayla DeCriscio, a three-year letter-winner and 2011-12 team captain, ended her career at Altoona Area High School with 598 points on her way to leading her team to back-to-back PIAA AAAA District 6 Championships in 2011 and 2012.   She holds the school’s career three-point field goals-made record with 150 and the single-game record with nine against Ambridge High School.  Her 12.7 points per game off of three-pointers ranked first in Pennsylvania on Max Preps in 2011-12.  DeCriscio, a Second-Team Altoona Mirror All-Star as a senior, earned most valuable player honors at the 2012 Altoona Mirror Basketball Classic Game and the 2011 McKeesport High School Tournament.
                Academically, DeCriscio was a member of the National Honor Society and Vice President of her senior class.
                She was coached by Jill Helsel at Altoona Area High School.
