2015-16 Season
Ajan Smith sat out the 2015-16 season.
In one season, Smith has single-game highs of 18 points and five rebounds against Clarion University on Nov. 19, 2014 and three assists against Penn State-New Kensington on Nov. 14, 2014.
2014-15 Season
Smith played in 17 games as a true freshman and averaged 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in just under 15 minutes per game. He shot 50.9% (27-53) from the field and made 11 steals. Smith scored in double figures three times and pulled down three or more rebounds six times.
At Steel Valley High School
Ajan Smith averaged 16.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game as a senior in 2013-14 at Steel Valley High School. Smith, a two-time All-Section selection and a two-time Daily News Fabulous 15 choice, played in the Roundball Classic and the Hoops for a Cure All-Star Game following his senior season.
Smith, a high honor roll student in high school, is the son of Alvin and Gia Smith of Homestead, Pa. He was coached by Shawn McAllister at Steel Valley High School.
