Biography

2021-22
Ashley Norling’s 10.8 points per game and 44.7% (130-291) field goal percentage paced the Mountain Cats in 2021-22, while her 5.6 rebounds per game, 71 assists, and 77.8% (63-81) free-throw percentage all ranked second on the team.  Norling was also third on the team in blocks with nine.  She scored in double-figures 18 times and
grabbed five or more rebounds 18 times.

Norling has single-game highs of 21 points against Clarion University on Feb. 15, 2020 and 21 points against Edinboro University on Jan. 17, 2022.  She also pulled down 11 rebounds at Mercyhurst University on Feb. 19, 2020, and eight assists against Slippery Rock University on Feb. 9, 2022.
 
2020-2021
2020-21 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
 
2019-2020
Norling played in 25 games as a freshman in 2019-20 and finished as Pitt-Johnstown’s fourth-leading scorer at 7.5 ppg. and fourth-leading rebounder at 4.1 rpg.  She led the team in field goal percentage at 49.0% (71-145), and was tied for fourth in blocked shots (11) and tied for fifth in steals (28).

Norling is majoring in Biology.  She is the daughter of Jay and Melissa Norling.
 
At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School
Ashley Norling scored 1,107 career points, including 35 against Montour High School, on her way to leading Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School to four consecutive berths in the WPIAL and PIAA AA State Playoffs.

Norling was named the WPIAL Championship Game Most Valuable Player in 2019 guiding Our Lady of the Sacred Heart to the title.

In the classroom, Norling was a member of the National Honor Society and a highest honors student all four years in high school.

Norling was coached by Donald Eckerle at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School.
