Freshman Season (2016-17)
Wrestled at the University of Pittsburgh
Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2017-18)
Alex Delp transferred to Pitt-Johnstown from the University of Pittsburgh and joined the Mountain Cats’ line-up at 184 lbs. in the second semester. Delp was 3-8 overall and 1-6 in dual meets. He also wrestled at the Super Region I Tournament, but did not place.
Sophomore Season (2018-19)
Delp went 9-3 overall and 7-2 in dual meets wrestling at both 184 and 197 lbs. Six of his nine victories came by way of decision. Delp also finished sixth at the PSAC Championships.
Junior Season (2019-20)
Delp posted a 14-9 overall record and a 9-6 dual meet record on his way to a fourth-place finish at the Super Region I Tournament. Eleven of his 14 victories came by way of decision.
High School
Three-year letterman...Finished 86-24 career record...helped to lead team to third-place WPIAL finish and spot in the 2016 Pennsylvania State Tournament.
Personal
Majoring in Mechanical Engineering…two-year letterman in both cross country and track and field and one-year letterman in soccer in high school...graduate from Kiski Area High School with Honors...son of Jason and Teresa Delp of Lower Burrell, Pa.
