University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Athletics

Eric Elias became an assistant coach on Head Coach Bob Rukavina’s on the Mountain Cat basketball staff in 2018-19.
 
Prior to coming to Pitt-Johnstown, Elias served as a graduate assistant basketball coach under Head Coach Kevin Reynolds at Slippery Rock University in 2017-18 where helped guide The Rock to a 21-10 overall record and a berth in the PSAC Tournament.
 
Elias attended Slippery Rock as an undergraduate and spent three years as a student assistant coach for the men’s basketball team.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication in 2017.
 
Elias is a native of Moon Township, Pa. and a graduate of Moon Area High School where he played four years of varsity basketball.
 
He is also the son of former Robert Morris University Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach, Jim Elias.
