Biography

At RICHLAND High School
Malzi was a three-year letterman for head coaches Tim Koshute and Greg Burke at Richland High School. Malzi led the team in scoring three straight years and rebounding in both his junior and senior seasons. He scored over 1,200 points and pulled down over 500 rebounds in his high school career. Malzi average 19.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in 2010-11 on his way to guiding Richland to a District 6 Runner-up finish and a spot in the PIAA State Playoffs for the first time in 10 years. He was a Laurel Highlands Athletics Conference All-Star and played in both the Tribune-Democrat and Altoona Mirror All-Star Games.
