At Pitt Johnstown
2003-04 Season
Allen made his Pitt Johnstown debut last season after transferring from Penn State-New Kensington and red-shirting during the 2002-03 season. In 26 games played, Allen averaged 2.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and nearly one assist per game. Allen shot 43.1% (22-51) from the field, 33.3% (3-9) from three-point range and 59.4% (19-32) from the free-throw line. He poured in season highs of 16 points, six rebounds and five assists all against Penn State-Fayette on 11/24/03. Allen also scored nine points against Penn State-Beaver on 02/24/04 and grabbed five rebounds against Penn State-New Kensington on 11/21/03. In addition, he helped hold NCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American Philip Godfrey to just 4-10 shooting in a game against West Virginia Tech on 11/28/03.
At Woodland Hills High School
Allen played for Head Coach Gary Ingelido at Woodland Hills High School. He averaged 14 points, five rebounds and four assists per game as a senior. Allen led his team to back-to-back AAAA Section IV Championships in 1999 and 2000. He played in the Kenny Durret All-Star Game. In the classroom, Allen was an honor student.
At Penn State-New Kensington
Allen played for Head Coaches Heath Bailey and Tom Myers at Penn State-New Kensington where he averaged nine points, four rebounds and 5.5 assists per game as a sophomore. He helped lead his team to the Penn State Commonwealth Campus Conference State Championship as a freshman and a runner-up finish as a sophomore. In those two seasons, Allen helped lead Penn State-New Kensington to over 40 victories. Allen was also named to the Academic All-Conference Team two consecutive years.
