2021-22 Season
Joe Batt joined Head Coach Bob Rukavina’s starting lineup and finished as Pitt-Johnstown’s third-leading scorer at 11.6 points per game and second-leading rebounder at 5.5 rebounds per game. Batt’s 52.1% shooting from 3-point range also paced the Mountain Cats, while his 48 3-pointers ranked second on the team. He also had 50 assists, 23 steals, and four blocked shots. He scored in double figures 18 times and grabbed five or more rebounds 20 times
.
Batt has single-game highs of 28 points against Kutztown on Dec. 8, 2018 and 28 points in the PSAC Quarterfinals at Mercyhurst on March 2, 2022. He also had 11 rebounds against Virginia State on Nov. 28, 2021 and six assists against Kutztown on Dec. 8, 2018 and six assists against Edinboro on Feb. 8, 2020.
2019-20 Season
Batt made a pair of starts and played in 30 of the Mountain Cats’ 31 games. He averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. His 26 3-pointers ranked fourth on the team. Batt also shot 46.6% (90-193) from the field and 84.4% (65-77) from the free-throw line.
2018-19 Season
Batt played in 21 games (4 starts) as a true freshman and was named the PSAC Western Division Freshman of the Week on Dec. 10, 2018. Batt paced the Mountain Cats with an 89.5% (34-38) free-throw percentage and was fourth on the team in 3-point field goals (19). Batt averaged 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
At Greenville High School
Coached by his father Mark, Joe Batt led Greenville High School to a pair district championships and a place in the PIAA AAA State Quarterfinals in 2018 on his way to being named First-Team Pennsylvania AAA All-State. Batt, a two-time District 10 Player of the Year, scored 1,709 points and ended his career averaging 20.9 points 6.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. An All-Region performer in each of his four seasons at Greenville, Batt also played in the Roundball Classic All-Star Game following his senior season.
Batt is the son of Mark and Lisa Batt of Greenville, Pa.
Batt is majoring in both History and Psychology.
