2018-19 Season
Josh Wise led the Mountain Cats in scoring at 17.9 points per game on his way to being named First-Team All-PSAC Western Division as a junior in 2018-19. Wise was also ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.8 rpg.), and third in assists (70 assists), steals (37), and blocked shots (12). Wise, a three-time PSAC West Athlete of the Week selection, became Pitt-Johnstown’s 30th 1,000-point scorer on after scoring 18 points against Gannon University on Feb. 2, 2019. He enters his senior season ranked 19th on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,183 points. Wise led Pitt-Johnstown in scoring 15 times and scored in double figures in 27 of the Mountain Cats’ 30 games.

Wise has recorded single-game highs of 31 points against Kutztown University on Dec. 8, 2018 and 31 points against Mercyhurst University on February 27, 2019. He also pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds against Clarion University on Feb. 2, 2018, and dished out six assists against Cheyney University on Dec. 18, 2018.

2017-18 Season
Josh Wise joined the Mountain Cats’ starting lineup in 2017-18 and finished as the team’s third-leading scorer at 15.0 ppg, and second-leading rebounder at 5.0 rpg. He also ranked second on the team in 3-point field goal percentage at 44.2% (37-125) and was fourth in both assists (58) and steals (25). Wise scored in double figures 19 times, including eight games with 20 or more points, and pulled down five or more rebounds 17 times. Six times as a sophomore, Wise led the Mountain Cats in scoring.

2016-17 Season
Wise made an immediate impact after red-shirting as a freshman in 2015-16. Wise played in all 30 Pitt-Johnstown games and finished fifth on the team in scoring at 8.1 points per game, assists with 62, and blocks with seven He was also fourth on the team in steals with 30. Wise scored in double figures 11 times, grabbed four or more rebounds six times, and dished out three or more assists 12 times.

At Washington High School
Josh Wise, a 2013 graduate of Washington High School, was his section’s Player of the Year and a PIAA AAA Third-Team All-State selection as a senior. He averaged 23 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of steals per game. Wise ended his high school career as his school’s third all-time leading scorer with over 1,300 points.
As a track and field athlete, Wise was a two-time WPIAL High Jump Champion and a WPIAL 4x100m relay Champion. Wise was also a standout football player who ranks fourth on Washington High School’s all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns lists.
He was coached by Mark Gaither at Washington High School.
