2007-08 Season
Marcus started all 31 Mountain Cat games and finished as the team’s second leading scorer (14.3 ppg.) and third leading rebounder (5.1 rpg.) on his way to being named Second Team All-WVIAC and earning a spot on the WVIAC All-Tournament Team. His 62.1% (192-309) field goal percentage was second on the team and ranked third in the WVIAC and 18th in NCAA Division II. Marcus was also tied for the team lead in blocked shots with 23 and was third in free-throw percentage at 77.0% (57-74). He led or tied for the team lead in scoring eight times and rebounding six times. Marcus scored in double figures 25 times and pulled down six or more rebounds in a game 14 times. Marcus enters the season 20 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point milestone. Through three seasons, Marcus has highs of 26 points against Glenville State (WV) College on Feb. 4, 2008, 12 rebounds against West Liberty State (WV) College on Nov. 19, 2005 and eight assists against Penn State-Harrisburg on Dec. 9, 2006.

2006-07 Season
Marcus played in every game (25 starts) and wrapped up his sophomore season as the Mountain Cats’ fifth leading scorer (9.6 ppg.) and fourth leading rebounder (4.3 rpg.). His 77.5% (31-40) free-throw percentage and 34 blocks were both second on the team, while his 57.1% (128-224) shooting from the field was third. Marcus led Pitt Johnstown in scoring four times and rebounding twice. He scored in double figures 12 times and pulled down five or more rebounds in a game 13 times. Marcus posted season-highs of 20 points against Concord (WV) University on Jan. 13, 2007, 10 rebounds vs. Mansfield University on Feb. 19, 2007 and five assists at Indiana University (PA) Feb. 3, 2007.

2005-06 Season
Marcus joined the Pitt Johnstown starting lineup as a red-shirt freshman and averaged 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 27 games played. His 34 blocks were second on the team and ranked him 84th in the nation at the end of the season. He also finished third on the team in field goal percentage at 50.9% (108-212) and fourth in both scoring (9.1 ppg.) and rebounding (4.4 rpg.). Marcus led or tied for the team lead in rebounding four times. He scored in double figures 14 times and grabbed six or more rebounds seven times. Marcus recorded season-highs of 16 points against Lock Haven University on Feb. 22, 2006, 12 rebounds against West Liberty State (WV) College on Nov. 18, 2005 and eight assists against Penn State-Harrisburg on Dec. 9, 2005.


At Greater Johnstown High School

Marcus averaged 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots per game as a senior under head coach Dan Shipman at Greater Johnstown High School. Marcus, along with William Sharpe, led Greater Johnstown to a 25-4 overall record, a Laurel Highlands Conference Championship, a District 6 Championship and a trip to the Second Round of the 2004 AAA Pennsylvania State Playoffs. Following his senior season, Marcus was named First Team All-District 6. He was also a two-time All-Laurel Highlands Conference selection. In addition, Marcus was selected to play in the 2004 Big John Riley Classic.
