At Pitt-Johnstown
2023-24 Season
Will Kromka played in all 28 games and made 28 starts. He averaged 8.8 points per game and finished second on the team in rebounding at 5.5 rebounds per game. His 49.1% (86-175) field goal percentage, 83.1% (54-65) free-throw percentage and 20 steals all ranked second on the team, while his 21 3-pointers were fourth on the team. Kromka scored in double figures 14 times and had five or more rebounds 16 times
Through two seasons, Kromka has posted single-game highs of 16 points against Edinboro on Feb. 10, 2024 and 16 points at Gannon on Feb. 25, 2024. He also pulled down 12 rebounds against Shippensburg on Jan. 3, 2024 and dished out four assists against California (PA) on Feb. 21, 2024.
2022-23 Season
Kromka, the only true freshman to see action, played in 20 games and averaged 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. He shot 14-28 (50.0%) from the field, 6-12 (50.0%) from 3-point range, Dished out six assists, blocked one shot, and made five steals.
At Gateway High School
Will Kromka, a four-year letterman in basketball at Gateway High School for Head Coach Alvis Rogers, was a three-time All-Section performer, including a pair of First-Team All-Section honors. Kromka was also a First and Section All-WPIAL selection who averaged of 16.0 ppg 7.0 rpg. and 3.0 apg. on his way to being named to the Roundball Classic All-Star game. He recorded single-game highs of 25 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, and led Gateway a 2022 Sectional Championship, a spot in the WPIAL Semifinals, and the program’s first berth in the PIAA State Semifinals.
In addition to basketball, Kromka was a two-time First-Team All-Section choice and a two-time Second-Team All-WPIAL on the Gateway volleyball team.
He was the President of his senior class and a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, AIM Club, and Book Club.
Kromka is the son of Joseph and Suzanne of Monroeville, Pa., and the brother of Mountain Cat All-American John Paul Kromka.
Kromka is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
