Biography

At Pitt-Johnstown
In her first season at Pitt-Johnstown, Anye Washington played in 16 games, averaging 1.1 points per game. She also recorded 14 rebounds, six steals, and five assists.

Washington recorded single-game highs of 3 points at Seton Hill on Feb. 25, 2025, four rebounds against Gannon on Jan. 24, 2026, and two assists at Clarion on Jan. 17, 2026 and at California (PA) on Jan. 31, 2026.

At Slippery Rock University
Anye Washington transferred to Pitt-Johnstown after playing two seasons at Slippery Rock University. 

Washington, the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week on Feb. 17, 2025, recorded career-highs of 18 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots against Millersville during the 2023-24 season, and 18 points and six steals against Pitt-Johnstown during the 2024-25 season.

 
At MaST Community Charter School
 A four-time First-Team All-Division honoree and a two-time Bicentennial-Independence League Most Valuable Player at MaST Community Charter School, Anye Washington finished her high school career as the school’s all-time leader in scoring with over 1,200 points an and steals with 400.

The PIAA Athlete of the Week on June 12, 2023 was also a member of the National Honor Society and helped lead her team to four Bicentennial-Independence Conference Championships.
She was coached by Edwin Vazquez at MaST Community Charter School.

Anye is the daughter of Lemar Washington Sharita English, of Philadelphia, Pa
