At Pitt-Johnstown
2024-25 Season
Baden Forup joined the Mountain Cats’ starting lineup after transferring from Capital (OH) University on his way to leading the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg.), field goal percentage (59.6%), and blocked shots, and finishing third in scoring (13.6 ppg.) and steals (22). He also shot 80.0% (56-70) from the free-throw line. Forup, who scored in double figures 22 times in 2024-25, closed out his sophomore season ranked third in the PSAC and 19th in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage and fifth in the conference and 63rd nationally in offensive rebounds per game (2.70).
In one season at Pitt-Johnstown, Forup posted single-game highs of 26 points and 12 rebounds at Gannon on Jan. 22, 2025, and a pair of assists on three occasions.
At Capital (OH) University
Before transferring to Pitt-Johnstown in 2024-25, Baden Forup played one year at Capital University in Columbus, OH where he was a Second-Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and the OAC/Region VII Freshman of the Year after averaging 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
At Lexington High School
A standout for Head Coach Scott Hamilton at Lexington High School, Forup, a three-year letterman in both basketball and football, was a first-team all-conference and two-time all-district selection. Forup, who averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds throughout his high school career, also garnered Third-Team All-Ohio honors and All-Ohio Special Mention recognition after leading the Minutemen to a pair of district finals’ appearances.
He is the son of Doug and Tuandra Forup of Mansfield, Ohio.
Forup is majoring in Pre- Physical Therapy
