2015-16 will mark the first season for former Concord (WV) University standout Jacqueline Kestner as an assistant women’s basketball coach under Head Coach Mike Drahos.
Kestner, a native of Blountville, Tenn. and a 1,000-point scorer at Central High School, was a four-year letter-winner for Head Coach Kenny Osborne from 2011-12 through 2014-15. She led the Mountain Lions in scoring at 12.7 points per game and rebounding at 8.8 rebounds per game on her way to earning Second-Team All- Mountain East conference (MEC) honors as a senior. Her 8.8 rebounds also ranked second in the MEC.
Kestner finished her collegiate career ranked sixth on Concord’s All-Time Rebounding List with 632. She also ranked among the Top-50 players in NCAA Division II in Career Active Double-Doubles, including a MEC-best 10 in 2014-15.
Kestner graduated from Concord in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
She is the daughter of Les and Carol Kestner.
