Biography

As a Lady Cat
            Inaya Stephenson played in all 26 games and made 15 starts on her way to averaging 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in 2012-13.  Stephenson led the Lady Cats in field goals percentage (59.7%) and blocked shots (37).  She also shot 75% (27-36) from the free-throw line, had 21 steals and dished out 15 assists. 
            Stephenson saw action in 26 games and made six starts in 2011-12.  She averaged 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.  Stephenson’s 47.5% (38-80) field goal percentage and 29 blocked shots both led the Lady Cats.
            Stephenson made her Lady Cat debut and played in 26 games as a true freshman in 2010-11.  In 10 minutes per game, Stephenson averaged 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.  She shot 44.6% (33-74) from the field and 52.6% (10-19) from the free-throw line.  Stephenson also collected eight assists, six blocks and three steals.
            Stephenson has career-highs of 16 points at West Libety (WV) University on Jan. 5, 2013 and 10 rebounds against Ohio Valley (WV) University on Jan. 14, 2012.
            Inaya is the daughter of Ithania Hawes. 
 
At Winchester Thurston High School
                Inaya Stephenson came to Pitt-Johnstown after playing two seasons at Schenley High School and two seasons at Winchester Thurston High School, where she combined to score over 1,000 points for her career.
                In two seasons at Winchester Thurston, Stephenson totaled 733 points, and she also scored her 1,000th point during the 2009-10 season.  She averaged 16.0 points per game as a senior, and 17.3 ppg., 12.3 rpg., 1.8 apg., 1.2 spg. and 2.9 bpg as a junior.  She also shot 87.9% from the free-throw line in 2008-09.
                Stephenson, a 2009-10 captain for Winchester Thurston, was selected to play in the Kenny Durrett Classic All-Star Game.  In 2008-09, she was named Most Valuable Player of the Lady Bulldog Snowflake Shoot-Out.  As a sophomore at Schenley, Stephenson played on a team that placed second in the 2008 City Championship, and she played on the school’s first-ever state quarterfinalist team.
                She was coached by Debbie Lewis at Schenley High School and Monica Williams at Winchester Thurston High School.
