Biography

As a Lady Cat
Jami, a senior captain, played in 25 of the 27 Lady Cat games last season and made two starts. She averaged 6.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17 minutes per game. Jami shot 37.3% (62-166) from the field, 29.8% (17-57) from three-point range and 61.3% (19-31) from the free-throw line. Her 17 three-pointers ranked third on the team, while her 26 assists and 20 steals both ranked sixth.
Two times during the 2005-06 season Jami led Pitt Johnstown in scoring. She scored in double figures four times and tallied nine points on three other occasions last year. Four other times Jami grabbed five or more rebounds in a game.
On Feb. 11, 2006, Jami scored poured in a career-high 23 points on 8-15 shooting from the field, 4-8 from behind the three-point line and 3-4 from the free-throw line at nationally-ranked Anderson (SC) College. She also scored 16 points against Tiffin (OH) University on Nov. 19, 2005 and 16 points against West Chester University on Nov. 26, 2005. Jami pulled down a career-high seven rebounds against Clarion University on Nov. 25, 2005, and chipped in six rebounds in a home win over Cheyney University on Feb. 1, 2006. She also dished out a career-high five assists at California University (PA) on Jan. 25, 2006.
Jami proved to be a great spark off of Coach Gault’s bench last season. She performed big in pressure games.
Coach Gault feels the playing time Jami earned in 2005-06 will provide her with the necessary confidence to be a major contributor this year.
Through three seasons at Pitt Johnstown, Jami is averaging 3.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
Jami is also a member of the Pitt Johnstown track and field team.

At Forest Hills High School
Jami was a 2003 team captain and three-year letter winner who ended her career with 920 points, 420 rebounds, 174 steals, 141 assists and 61 blocked shots.
She is the third all-time leading scorer in school history. Jami also holds the all-time school record for points in a season with 457 set in 2003, and points in a game with 40 against Portage Area High School on December 17, 2002. Her 40 points broke a record that stood since 1979.
Jami was the 2002 Most Valuable Player and three-time All-Tournament Team selection at the Art Burkett Memorial Tournament. She set the scoring record with 59 total points at the 2002 Art Burkett Memorial Tournament. Jami was a two-time All-Tournament Team selection at the Boswell Jaycees Holiday Tournament.
In 1999, Jami was the bronze medalist and in 2000 the silver medalist at the AAU Western Pennsylvania Regional.
In addition to basketball, Jami was a three-year track letter winner and one-year cross country letter winner. She placed 5th
in the District VI High Jump.
In the classroom, Jami was a member of the National Honor Society and Who’s Who in American High Schools.
She was coached by Carol Cecere at Forest Hills High School.
