Biography

As a Lady Cat

        After playing sparingly over her first two years, Jamie Tabon played in all 28 games and joined Head Coach Mike Drahos’ starting line-up midway through the 2015-16 season.  She averaged 6.8 points per game and was the team’s third-leading rebounder at 6.2 rebounds per game.
        Tabon finished third on the team in blocked shots (13) and fifth in steals.
        She scored in double-figures eight times and grabbed five or more rebounds in a game 17 times.  Tabon led Pitt-Johnstown in scoring three times and paced the team in rebounding seven times, all after joining the starting line-up.

        Through three seasons, Tabon has single-game highs of 18 points against Division I Saint Francis University on Dec. 12, 2015, 15 rebounds at Mercyhurst University on Feb. 13, 2016, and four assists against Indiana University (PA) on Jan. 13, 2016.
 
2014-2015
 
        Tabon saw action in 19 games (1 start) as a sophomore in 2014-15.  Tabon averaged 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in eight minutes per game.  In addition, she made eight steals, dished out three assists and blocked three shots.
        After red-shirting as a true freshman, Tabon made her Lady Cat debut in 2013-14. In 16 games, she averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

       Through one season, Tabon had single-game highs of six points at Mansfield University on Dec. 21, 2013 and at Lock Haven University on Jan. 3, 2014, and eight rebounds against Washington Adventist University on Nov. 14, 2013.
        She is also the step-daughter of Tanya Tabon.  She was coached by Scott Caticato at Penn Hills High School.
 
 
At Penn Hills High School
 
                Jamie Tabon, who earned one letter in basketball at Penn Hills High School, averaged 9.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and nearly one assist per game as a senior.  She finished her career with 353 points.  Tabon, who graduated with honors, was named Most Valuable Player at the 2010 Indiana High School Holiday Tournament.
            Tabon is the daughter of James, Jr. and Grace Powell.  She is also the step-daughter of Tanya Tabon.  She was coached by Scott Caticato at Penn Hills High School.
