University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Athletics

Kylie Fruehstorfer, a four-year letter-winner in basketball at Union Area High School, was a four-time All-Section selection and a PIAA First-Team All State choice in 2024-25.  Fruehstorfer holds the girls’ scoring record and is Union Area High School’s second all-time scorer with 1,433 career points. 

She posted a 50-point scoring game and made eight 3-pointers in a game.  A WPIAL game most valuable player and a PIAA State Playoff game MVP, Fruehstorfer guided her team to WPIAL championships in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and a PIAA State title in 2023.

Also a two-year letter-inner in cross country, Fruehstorfer qualified for the PIAA State Cross Country Meet in 2023.

Academically, she was her class’s valedictorian and a member of the National Honor Society.  Fruehstorfer, a Peer Leader, earned the SSG Edward D. Mills, Jr. Scholarship, the Tri-County Athletic League Scholarship, the Wolves Club and Hoyt Scholarship, and the Lawrence County Counselor’s Award.
