Biography
At Pitt-Johnstown
As a junior in 2024-25, Lexi Margolis played in all 27 games and made 24 starts. She led the Mountain Cats in 3-point field goals-made (31), was second on the team in assists (72) and steals (37), and fifth in both in scoring (6.6 ppg.) and rebounding (3.5 rpg.).
Margolis has recorded single-game highs of 17 points at Slippery Rock on Feb. 17, 2024 and nine rebounds against Mansfield on Nov. 23, 2024. She also dished out seven assists against West Chester on Dec. 17, 2024 and seven assists at Clarion on Jan. 11, 2025.
As a freshman in 2022-23, Margolis played in 19 games. She scored eight points, pulled down six rebounds, and had three assists. Margolis also made one steal.
Margolis played in 24 games and made six starts in 2023-24. She averaged 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Margolis’ 14 3-pointers ranked fifth one the team, and her 18 steals were fourth on the team. She also dished out 18 assists.
She is majoring in Accounting...Lexi is the daughter of Andy Margolis and Mindy McCurdy of Monroeville, Pa.
At Gateway High School
Lexi Margolis was a four-year letter-winner in both basketball and volleyball at Gateway High School. Margolis, a First-Team All-Section selection in 2018-19 a Second-Team All-Section choice in 2020-21 and 2021-22, and a Honorable Mention selection as a freshman in 2019-20, scored 705 points, pulled down 165 rebounds, blocked 29 shots, dished out 151 assists, and made 100 steals in her high school career. She also helped lead Gateway to Section Championships in 2019 and 2020.
As a volleyball player, Margolis garnered Honorable Mention All-Section honors as a senior in 2021-22.
Margolis was coached by Curtis Williams at Gateway High School.
