Nicholas Ramirez, who also serves as Pitt-Johnstown head men's and women's cross country coach, was named head men’s and women’s track and field coach at Pitt-Johnstown prior in the summer of 2021 season.
The Johnstown native joined the staff as a volunteer track and field coach in the spring of 2019.
Prior to coming to Pitt-Johnstown, Ramirez was a volunteer assistant boy’s and girl’s cross country coach at Westmont Hilltop High School.
Ramirez also has experience as a graduate student strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Science in 2018.
Ramirez continues to be a competitive athlete with honors, including a first-place finish in Johnstown’s Path of the Flood Half Marathon and a Top-50 performance in Pittsburgh’s ETQ 10 Miler in 2015.
Ramirez and his wife Alexandra have a daughter, Poppy Camila.
