Former Illinois State University defensive specialist Morgan Mammosser took over the reigns of the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball program in the Spring of 2021.  She is also Pitt-Johnstown’s Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Mammosser's team posted a 12-13 overall record and a 5-11 mark in the PSAC West in her inaugural season in 2021.  She also coached Lauren Gechter, the PSAC West Volleyball Athlete of the Week on September 14 and a Second-Team All-PSAC West selection.

Mammosser, who played NCAA Division I volleyball at Illinois State from 2015-17, spent two seasons at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, Ill. where she was a member of the program’s first conference championship team since 1992 and the program’s first ever National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Tournament in 2014.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations in 2017, Mammosser was a volunteer assistant volleyball coach at Eastern Illinois University in 2018.

Mammosser then served as an assistant coach at Carroll (WI) University in 2018-19, before going to Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a head coach at Washington High School.

In 2020-21, Mammosser, a native of Rock Falls, IL was named head coach at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa.  That season, she guided her team to a spot in the second round of the district playoffs and coached one all-state selection, a pair of all-region choices, and seven all-academic players.

Mammosser got her first taste of coaching as the head coach of the No Limits Volleyball Club in Sterling, Ill. from 2012-15.

She graduated from Rock Falls (IL) High School in 2013 after a stellar career that saw her earn 12 varsity letters and was named the 2012 Sauk Valley Player of the Year.  Mammosser was a two-time All-Illinois State selection, a three-time First Team All-Big Northern Conference selection, and a three-time All-Area choice.

Along with her Public Relations Degree, Mammosser also received her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Liberty (VA) University in 2018.
