Carl Keifer, Jr. joined the Pitt-Johnstown track and field coaching staff prior to the 2013 season.
Keifer, who specializes in sprints, mid-distance, hurdles, and relays, brings three decades of coaching experience at both the high school and college levels.
He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Pitt-Johnstown in 1983, before moving to Westmont Hilltop High School a year later. While coaching at the high school level, Keifer's teams won a district championship, five conference titles, and four county championships.
In 2005, Keifer, who earned his Level 1 USA Track Coaching Certification in 2005 and his Level 2 certification in 2007, was also an assistant coach at Saint Francis University for several year beginning in 2005.
