Biography
Freshman Season (2020-21)
Due to COVID-19 limitations, Dakoda Rodgers wrestled at the Super Region I Tournament as a true freshman and placed third with a 1-1 record.
Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2021-22)
Rodgers, a Third-Team All-PSAC selection, took over the starting job at 197 lbs. and finished with a 19-8 overall record and a 9-4 mark in dual meets. Rodgers, who placed fifth at the Super Region 1 Tournament, closed out the year with nine decisions, five major decision, two technical falls, and three falls.
Sophomore Season (2022-23)
A Third-Team All-PSAC selection, Rodgers went 23-10 overall and 13-3 in dual meets. He placed third at the Super Region I Tournament to secure his first spot in the NCAA National Tournament. Rodgers, who placed eighth at the Midwest Classic, was second on the team in wins by decision with 14 and third in technical falls with six.
Junior Season (2023-24)
Rodgers took the next step in his collegiate wrestling career by winning a Super Region I Championship and joining the ranks of the Mountain Cat All-American by placing seventh at the NCAA National Tournament. Rodgers, who placed third at the Midwest Classic, was also named First-Team All-PSAC and earned a spot on the NWCA Scholar All-America Team. His 32-4 overall record and 16-1 dual meet record were both second best on the team, while his 20 wins by decision led the Mountain Cats and his six falls were second on the team.
High School
Two-year letterman...56-26 career record...helped lead to WPIAL Tournament and Section Place.
