Placed fourth at Washington and Jefferson Collegiate Open
Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2010-11)
Dave Cawley split time at 141 lbs. for most of the season and finished with a 16-6 overall record and an 8-3 mark in dual meets. He placed second at the Wilkes University Open and fifth at the Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Open.
Sophomore Season (2011-12)
Cawley came into the season with high expectations, but after going 4-2 at the Washington and Jefferson Collegiate Open to start the season, his year ended with an injury. He had two victories by decision, on by fall and one by technical fall.
Junior Season (2012-13)
After an injury ended his sophomore season, Cawley came out in 2012-13 and posted a 24-7 overall record and a 14-2 dual meet record. He was the runner-up at 141 lbs. at the Super Region I Tournament on his way to joining the ranks of the All-Americans with a seventh-place finish at the National Tournament. Cawley placed fourth at the Wilkes Open. He was named First-Team NWCA All-Academic team. Cawley’s 14 dual meet wins ranked second on the team, while his 24 total victories was third.
High School
Four-year letterman...career record of 106-30...senior season record of 20-3...two-time PIAA AAA State Place Winner (7th in 2007 and 6th in 2009)...2007 WPIAL champion and 2009 WPIAL runner-up...three-time section champion...helped lead team to four section championships.
