Biography

Freshman Season (2021-22)
         Isaiah Vance began the year as Pitt-Johnstown’s starter at 285 lbs. until an injury ended his season.  Vance was 5-4 overall and 2-1 in dual meets with three decisions, one fall and one default.
 
Sophomore Season (2022-23)
         Vance got the majority of starts and went 20-4 overall and 10-1 in dual meets.  He placed second at the Super Region I Tournament to advance to his first NCAA National Tournament.  Vance, a Second-Team All-PSAC selection, also placed fourth at the Midwest Classic.  His 14 wins by fall led the Mountain Cats.
 
Junior Season (2023-24)
Vance  went a team-best 32-3 overall and a perfect 17-0 in dual meets on his way to winning his first Super Region I and becoming All-American with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Tournament.  A two-time PSAC Wrestler of the Week honoree and a First-Team All-PSAC selection, Vance also won a championship at the Midwest Classic.  He led the Mountain Cats with 17 falls, was tied for the team lead with five major decisions, and was tied for second on the team with nine decisions.
 
Red-Shirt Junior Season (2024-25)
Vance, the Super Region I and PSAC Wrestler of the Year, was 26-5 overall and 10-2 in dual meets on his way to finishing second at the Super Region I Tournament and becoming a two-time All-American with his national runner-up finish.  A First-Team All-PSAC choice and a NWCA Scholar All-American selection, Vance also placed third at the Midwest Classic.  His 11 wins by fall paced Pitt-Johnstown, and his five major decisions were tied for second on the team.  Vance needs 17 more victories to become the 29th Mountain Cat to reach 100 wins.
