Red-Shirt Freshman Season (2011-2012)
Joel Paolo split time between 157 and 165 lbs. and wrapped up the year with an 8-6 overall record and a 1-4 mark in dual meets. Seven of his eight victories were by decision. Paolo also placed third at the Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Open.
Sophomore Season (2012-2013)
Paolo took over the starting duties at 157 lbs. and finished at 12-16 overall and 6-10 dual meets. He wrestled at the Super Region I tournament, but did not place. Eight of his 12 victories came by way of decision. Paolo also placed sixth at the Washington & Jefferson Collegiate Open.
