Biography
Freshman Season (2025-26)
Ty Morrison won the starting job at 174 lbs. as a true freshman and posted a 28-5 overall record with a 13-0 dual meet record. He recorded 10 decisions, five major decisions, a team-high 10 technical falls, and two falls. Morrison was a shared champion at the East Stroudsburg Tournament and placed seventh at the 2025 Midwest Classic. He also placed second at the Super Region I Tournament, earning his first National Tournament appearance, in which he placed fourth and received All-American honors. Morrison was named First-Team All-PSAC, while also being named the 2025-26 PSAC Freshman Wrestler of the Year and being selected to the 2025-26 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Scholar All-America Team.
